Lee<\/a>, Assistant Professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/csbweb.csb.pitt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Computational &amp; Systems Biology<\/a>, has been named one of the 126 <a href=\"https:\/\/sloan.org\/fellowships\/2020-Fellows\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sloan Research Fellows<\/a> for 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo receive a Sloan Research Fellowship is to be told by your fellow scientists that you stand out among your peers,\u201d says Adam F. Falk, president of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. \u201cA Sloan Research Fellow is someone whose drive, creativity, and insight makes them a researcher to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fellows from the 2020 cohort are drawn from a diverse range of more than 60 institutions across the U.S. and Canada, \u201cThere is a wide variety of winning institutions, but each one has successfully attracted, retained, and nurtured truly promising junior faculty,\u201d says Daniel L. Goroff, director of the Sloan Research Fellowship program. \u201cThe Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is proud to join with these institutions in recognizing and supporting scientific leaders of the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Open to scholars in eight scientific and technical fields\u2014chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics, computational and evolutionary molecular biology, neuroscience, ocean sciences, and physics\u2014the Sloan Research Fellowships are awarded in close coordination with the scientific community.
