The work defines and characterizes a signaling motif called a variable-gain stochastic pooling network that effectively acts as a molecular information-compression circuit that has remarkable noise mitigation properties. Huge congratulations to co-first authors J. Agustin Cruz and Chaitanya Mokashi for driving the project to completion.
