Third-year lab member Ben Krummenacher has been awarded a one-year T32 Institutional National Research Service Award, supporting an independent research direction he has developed within the lab. Ben’s proposed research investigates how different cellular stresses reshape RNA processing and generate novel proteins. Toward this, he is developing a novel computational method for database-independent detection of these proteins from mass spectrometry data.
